🌡️Tips for sauna & pool usage
Before your session
- Arrive 10 minutes early so you’re not rushing and can settle in. Your sauna slot is strictly 40 minutes only
- Take a quick dip in the pool first — it helps your body adjust and makes the heat feel more comfortable
- Give yourself a moment to relax and mentally switch off before entering the sauna
- Remove all metal jewellery and electronic devices, as the high heat can cause severe skin burns and permanently destroy smartwatches and fitness trackers
What to bring
- A spare towel specifically for sitting on inside the sauna
- A bottle of water to stay hydrated throughout
During your sauna session
- Feel free to use the pool multiple times to cool down. Alternating heat and cold can make the experience more enjoyable and manageable
- Listen to your body — step out, cool off, or hydrate whenever needed
After your session
- You can enjoy the pool for an additional 10‑minute cool‑down period at the end of your sauna booking

Join us in our stunning outdoor filtered and lightly chlorinated sea water swimming pool where we promote fun and adventure in a safe, and clean environment. The pool is 900 square meters total, with a depth of 1.875 meters at the deepest end and 1.05 meters at the shallow end. It is 40 meters long at its longest point and 25 meters wide at the widest point with 5 competitor classic lanes.
Fully qualified lifeguards and instructors on duty. Changing areas, toilets and showers available.

Our Story
Clontarf Baths and Assembly Rooms, as it was known, opened circa 1886 and featured a large tidal seawater swimming pool that juts out from the promenade wall into the bay. The Clontarf Swimming Club was founded in Clontarf Parish Hall in 1884 and the club was basedin the Clontarf Baths. Records show that Clontarf Swimming Club held regular races and waterpolo matches at the Clontarf Baths.
